Course Focus

An e-Learning course aimed at providing the most comprehensive knowledge and skills in the Network Security providing an opportunity to equip the Network System Administrators & Information Security Officers to understand the security concerns, vulnerabilities, attacks and to plan and implement the desired e-Security solutions.

Course Objective
In today’s networked world, most of the organizations and enterprises depend on different kinds of Information Technology solutions, say e-commerce, e-governance, e-learning, e-banking etc.. All communications must be secured and under control since the information stored and conveyed is ultimately an invaluable resource of the business. Securing vital resources and information in the network is the most challenging feat for system enterprise. The growing number of the computer Network(internet/intranet) attacks and sophistication in attack technologies has made this task still more complicated. The course content is developed with the support of Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and IT, Government of India.
Therefore the need of the hour is to update the knowledge of the personel mannin networks and systems on the network security issues and solutions.
The time of N etworks and S ystems professionals working inan organization is very valuable and hence it is difficult to spare their time for training away from the organizations. e-Learning mode of offering of Cyber Security course is an humble effort to reduce cost and time to organizaion in training their officials.

Course Structure
This course is well structured with a three level hierarchy of units, modules & lessons . This course consists of four units and twelve modules. Each module in turn consists of number of lessons. The content is available in PDF form; power point presentation with speaker notes and voice over. It also has some video lectures delivered by experts on selected topics which are aimed at motivating the learner into the specific e-Security topics. The duration of the course is variable from 6 months. However the course registration would lapse after completion of 6 months from the date of admission. On-line-assessment is an attractive feature provided through on-Line quizzes and assignments.

  • Any one working in the IT domain with minimum experience of 1 year can apply to this course.
  • NOTE : Having knowledge on Networking and Security would be an added advantage to the candidate to understand the concepts easily
     
Course Delivery

The course material is continuously available for the registered students. A group of experts are available as Technical Advisory Committee for this course. Interactions with these experts will be scheduled during the conduction of the course. During the course duration of three months, continuous assessment of student would be carried out. Entire evaluation is done online.Online quizzes and assignments are given to the student and performance of the students is intimated time to time.Student will be awarded a participation certificate indicating the performance level in the online examination conducted through out the course. Student has to score a minimum of 50% marks in online assessment .
 
Course Fee & Duration

» The Course Fee is Rs. 3000 /-
» The Duration of the course is 6 (six) months from the date the registrant account is activated.
   » During this six months, its the responsibility of the participant to complete the whole course including the quizes, assignments and the Case studies. The participant can decided upon the distribution of his/her time among the modules. There is no restrictions on duration of each module from C-DAC.

Q1:- Why do I need a course in Cyber Security?

Q2:- What is the course duration ?
The CCCS is a six months course. No extension of the dates will be enteratained. The candidate once registered must complete the entire course within six months duration including the case study submission.

Q3:- Will I get a certificate on completion of this course?
No, there is no cert ificate for this course. An online generated Marks Sheet will be sent to your email. If you are interested to get a Cyber Security Professional Certificate for the same course, then you need to opt for the C-DAC Certified Cyber Security Professional [CCCSP]

Q4:- What is the difference between CCCS and CCCSP?

  1. CCCS is the C-DAC Course on Cyber Security and CCCSP - C-DAC Certified Cyber Securiy Professinal.
  2. On CCCS course completion, the candidate will receive a participation certificate for attending and accessing the cyber security course material in elearning mode only where as CCCSP is a process of attending a physical written examination held twice in a year, and receive a professional certificate.
  3. CCCS and CCCSP - course material is same. For the CCCSP Examination, one have to prepare well on the external references provided also along with the elearning course material.
  4. The course fee for CCCS is Rs. 3000 ( three thousand rupees only)
    The Course Fee for CCCSP is Rs. 7500 (Seven Thousand Five Hundred )
