The departure of Dr. KVKK Prasad is a great loss to our society and his intellectual contribution to the software community through his great works of literature is unparalleled. C-DAC misses a great man and a great talent.

Late Dr. K.V.K.K. Prasad was a Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He was associated with the IT industry for the past 20 years. In addition to working on a number of development projects, he authored 7 technical books as well as content for e-learning portals in the areas of software process management, information security and software testing. He has published extensively in leading international and national journals and magazines in the areas of wireless communication, computer telephony integration, software engineering and artificial intelligence.

He has worked on major software development projects in association with software engineers and CEOs based in North America, Western Europe and South Asia. Many Startups and multinational organizations have consulted him for major software development projects in the areas of computer networking, Internet technologies, transmission and switching systems, and computer telephony integration, Mobile Computing, Embedded Systems and Software Defined Radio.

Late Dr. K.V.K.K. Prasad was the Director (Technology) at Innovation Communications Systems Ltd., Hyderabad, India. Before joining ICS, he was associated with Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India and Centre for Development of Telematics, Bangalore.

He was the recipient of Young Scientist award of the Indian Science Congress Association for his research in multi-lingual speech systems. He is a senior member of IEEE and a member of ACM.
